Yugoslavian partisans in 1944.

The Yugoslavian partisans worked arm-in-arm with People’s Liberation Front under Marshal Josip Broz Tito, the future Communist dictator of the region. Early in the war the partisans, known collectively as Tito’s Army, made a deal with the Allies: in exchange for supplies (food and clothing) and weapons the partisans would lead any downed Allied pilot safely out of Nazi occupied territory.
