German soldiers of the 116th Panzer Division, and (possibly) a Sd.Kfz. 250/5 leichter Beobachtungspanzerwagen. The 116th was formed in March 1944, fought only on the Western Front and was a strong point of the German offensive in the Ardennes.

In the Ardennes Forest, France.
After somehow surviving Omaha Beach in the third wave and the invasion of Normandy, this young Sgt. was placed in charge of a small group of tank parts replacement vans that supplied and repaired tanks on the front lines, many times under severe fire. He supervised 10 to 12 army personnel and were constantly on the move, always trying to keep the enemy from hunting them down while delivering and installing tank parts.
