The corpse of Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) hanging by his feet a petrol station in the city of Milan after being caught and executed by Italian partisans at Mezzegra on the 29th of April. The bodies are labeled on the photograph from left to right: Nicola Bombacci, Gelormini, Benito Mussolini, Clara Petacci (Mussolini’s mistress), Alessandro Pavolini and Achille Starace. Other sources state the man to the left of Mussolini as being Starace.
